WAYUULAB starts as the first Indigenous Filmmakers Lab in Colombia
WayuuLab is the first Indigenous Filmmakers Lab in Colombia. It is an initiative promoted by the Wayuu People's Communications Network and its grassroots organizations and aims to strengthen the filmmaking process of the Young People of the Wayuu People's School of Communications “Jayariyu Farias Montiel” and invited indigenous filmmakers, who for eight days they will participate in an intensive camp, for the construction of four short films that will be screened during the ninth Wayuu Film and Video Showcase MUCIWA. In a marathon rhythm, young people will visit the municipalities of Uribia, Maicao and Manaure for the production of their short films, which will address issues such as: Border, Migration, Human Rights, Territory and Environmental Impacts.
